Stairs / Lotus Rising (Digital Print - 1st Edition)

I had been wanting to paint what comes from within and found cut up leftovers of chocksy board and acrylic paints used during college 18 years ago. I painted on two, one red and one blue. Then I felt like drawing as I saw shapes in some strokes. Each time I sat to draw, the lines would reveal a story which would elate me and my sessions with the pen became cathartic and addictive. Lotus Rising is about how we all are born in this modern world with big buildings as houses, cars, music, entertainment, yet we yearn for nature and calm. Through the cacophony rises the calm, through the concrete rises a Peepal, through the muddy waters of emotions rises the Lotus (human) to Realize its true connection with Nature.
