Maa Ganga (Original)

A textural experiment turned into another premonition of a spiritual road trip. On layers of plastic, bubble wrap and aluminium I traversed the Himalayas in all its colours. I could see eyes and elephants and lions, temples, a guiding bird and valleys of flowers. The next month I was on my way on a solo drive up to Kedarnath, Hemkund Sahab and Valley of Flowers. I drove alone on empty winding roads along Ganga and many high hamlets. Feeling the magical loving welcome of the magical vistas. It is the waters of divine Ganga, Madakani, Alaknanda, Bhagirathi and others that keep the mountains alive. and the habitants humble. Unfortunately, "socio-economic progress" has started to eat our mountains and rivers too. Feel her essence in this painting and hold life giving essence of water in your heart. Cleanse your emotions.
